Good Evening
I am going to be posting only the readings from the lectionary and the Psalms and Collect(s) for the day most days. If you need to see where these readings go in the prayers we would say at our cathedral in Mattins or Evensong, click on the Evening Prayer link below or go to one of archived posts where I've included the links for the readings within the pattern of prayer for the daily offices. You may also want to order a Prayer Book from the Prayer Book Society. I use the Canadian 1962 edition, which is similar to the United States 1928 edition.

Collect of the day:
Grant, we beseech thee, Almighty God, that like as we do believe thy only-begotten Son our Lord Jesus Christ to have ascended into the heavens; so we may also in heart and mind thither ascent, and with him continually dwell; who liveth and reigneth with thee and the Holy Spirit, one God, world wihtout end. Amen.
O God the King of Glory, who hast exalted thine only Son Jesus Christ with great triumph unto thy kingdom in heaven: We beseech thee, leave us not comfortless; but send to us thine Holy Ghost to comfort us, and exalt us unto the same place whither our Saviour Chirst is gone before; who liveth and reigneth with thee and the Holy Ghost, world without end. Amen
